Madis Muul

Madis Muul is a pianist, keyboardist and a composer. He has written and recorded songs for the bands Flavor, Power Play, New Dimensions,Maarja Aarma MA, Madis Muul Hextet, LUUMand Madis Muul Trio. In addition, he participates in several Estonian jazz and pop ensembles, such as JT Conception, Andres Alaru Trio, Raul Vaigla, Lenna, Maarja Aarma MA, Allan Järve Quartet etc.). He has also written music for several theater performances, both as a composer [(“Dinner on the lawn”, “Aadam and Eve”, “Oedipus and Antigone, The Stranger, Tender Napalm] as well as a musician. In 2022, Madis Muul was a laureate at the Estonian Theater Awards, for creating original music for the play “Oedipus.Antigone” (VAT Teater). In the same year, Muul’s song “Secret Creek” won 2nd place in the jazz category at the prestigious International Songwriting Competition, whose jury included Tom Waits, Coldplau, Lonnie L. Smith, Jack DeJonette in addition to many well-known musicians.
Madis graduated pop-jazz from Georg Otsa Tallinn Music School piano major and jazz piano major at Siena Jazz University (Italy). At the moment, Madis Muul is upgrading himself in a one-year film composition course at Musicube Academy (Germany, “Advanced Film Scoring”).
He has performed besides the Baltic countries in Sweden, Finland, Poland, Germany, Italy, Austria,
Hungary, USA and Cambodia.
