Dr. Gökçe Ağ is a Turkish composer, pianist, conductor, and academic. He completed his undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral studies in music and currently serves as a faculty member at Maltepe University Conservatory. His artistic and academic work focuses on composition, piano music, choral music, music psychology, and contemporary music practices.
As a composer, his works have been performed in national and international concerts and festivals. He is the founder and conductor of the Gökçe Ağ Children’s Choir and has received several international awards in composition and conducting, including the “World Grand Prix International Music Contest – Original Composition Award” and the “International Music Leadership Award – Merit Conductor of the Season”.
His compositions explore emotional expression, contemporary pianistic techniques, and interdisciplinary artistic approaches. In addition to his creative activities, he actively publishes academic research and presents at international conferences. His piano cycle “Corona Days”, inspired by the COVID-19 pandemic, was released as an album in 2024 and represents one of his notable contemporary works.
