Eduard Kiprsky was born in Leningrad in 1986. Graduated from the St. Petersburg Conservatory and completed a postgraduate study in piano (class of Alexander Sandler) and composition (class of Grigory Korchmar). Completed a Master’s degree and attained the highest grade of Artistic Excellence at the Folkwang Universität der Künste in Essen (Germany, class of Boris Bloch). Prize-winner at the Steinway Competition (Düsseldorf, 2012; 1st prize). Winner of the composition competition Cantando-Porlando (Germany, 2014), and in 2014 at the Elena Obraztsova International Opera Singers’ Competition. Winner of the International Franz Liszt Competition “Mario Zanfi Prize” (Parma, 2015). Prize-winner at the Cyprus International Competition in the category “Composition” (2020; 1st prize and Special Award for best vocal works). Prize-winner at the Composer-pianist competition (Saint-Petersburg, 2021, 1st prize). Prize-winner at the Rachmaninoff International Competition for pianists, composers and conductors in the category “Composition” (Moscow, 2022, 2st prize) and the MAP 2023 International Music Competition in the category “Composition for Chamber Music” (2st prize “For chaconne for string quartet – “Friedensgebet”).Has presented recitals at Vienna’s Musikverein, Zurich’s Tonhalle, the Funkhaus and Kunsthistorisches Museum (Vienna), the Mercatorhalle (Duisburg), the Zollverein Halle and the Colosseum Theater (Essen), the Philharmonie Essen, the Theater Duisburg, the Vereeniging Hall (Nijmegen), the Musis Sacrum concert hall (Arnhem) and the Teatro Verdi in Bussetto.In 2017 he released an album featuring works by Schubert, Rachmaninoff and Stravinsky. In 2021 released an album “In ensemble with the composer” featuring his own compositions. Member of the ÖGZM union of composers of contemporary music in Vienna, of the union of composers of Russia.
