Benedikt discovered his passion for music at the age of five. The catalyst was a painted angel playing a harp on a church wall, igniting his fascination with the
instrument. Persistently, he wanted to learn the harp and, at seven years old, began his first lessons.
For six years, Benedikt immersed himself in the study of folk music at his local music school. In middle school, he also started playing the flugelhorn, which briefly became his favorite instrument. However, his connection to the harp remained strong. By the end of middle school, he was accepted into the pre-academic
program at the Claudio Monteverdi Conservatory in Bolzano.
Three years ago, a vacation in Florence became a fresh source of inspiration, rekindling his dedication to the harp. Around the same time, a new harp instructor,
Prof. Nicoletta Alberti, joined the conservatory and has since supported Benedikt intensively in mastering the instrument.
In June 2024, Benedikt successfully completed high school. Since September
2024, he has been a full-time student at the Claudio Monteverdi Conservatory in
Bolzano, studying harp under Prof. Nicoletta Alberti.
Benedikt achieved notable success in 2024:
• “Regional Champion” and 1st Prize Gold at the Prima la Musica
competition for Tyrol and South Tyrol with a
• 1st Prize Gold at the Prima la Musica national competition 2024
• Distinction at the World Harp Congress 2024: “Focus on Youth”
• 1st Prize Gold at the BTHVN Competition 2024 in Vienna
Additionally, Benedikt participated in the final performance of the EUYO Orchestra
of Italy on November 28, 2024. He further advanced his skills through a masterclass
at the Mozarteum Salzburg on November 23, 2024.
