Sanja Stanković

Sanja Stankovic was born in 1987 and began her musical education when she was 9 in music school „Stanislav Binički“ with prof. Ljerka Vukelja. Sanja continued her higher education in „Josip Slavenski“ music high school with prof. Olga Bauer. She attended masterclasses of prof. Jacques Rouvier, prof. Arbo Valdma and chamber music masterclasses with prof. Lidja Bizjak and prof. Stefan Milenković. She graduated piano with the highest mark, in the class of prof. Nevena Popović. In 2012 Faculty of Music in Belgrade awarded her with Emil Hayek prize for „The Most Perspective Young Pianist“. She also participated „ISA – International Academy of mdw – University of Music and Peforming Arts Vienna“ in classes of prof. Markus Schirmer and prof. Peter Frankl. Sanja Stanković was the winner of many prizes at piano competitions, and the most important prizes are:
The first prize at the international piano competition „Memorijal Vučković“, the first prize at the„ IX international competition of young pianists – Niš“, the first prize at the „II piano competition dedicated to W.A Mozart“, the first prize at the “Grand prize virtuoso” piano competition (Vienna, Salzburg, London, Brussels, Barcelona) the first prize at the “Golden classical music awards” piano competition (New York, Los Angeles, Tokyo), the first prize at “Beethoven Music Competition” and the special prize for virtuosic performance in UK, the absolute first prize at “Classical Stars Competitions”, and “Versatile Pianist Award” at “Ad Libitum International Piano Competition”, Platinum award at the “International Mozart Music Competition”, first prize and a special prize for the outstanding musicality at “Bach International Music Competition”, Platinum prize and the special prize for virtuosic performance at “Debussy International Music Competition”. Sanja Stanković performed as a pianist in SASA gallery, Kolarac concert hall, Gallery of CMC, the City Government concert hall, Carnegie Hall, Walt Disney Hall, Petit Palau de la Música, Tokyo Opera City Hall and others. She performed as a solist and a chamber music musician for TV and radio recording.
