Shunsuke Yoshikawa began playing the oboe at the age of 14. Graduated from Tokyo College of Music High School with first class honours. Currently enrolled in the master’s course at the Ecole Normale de Musique in Paris.
First prize in the woodwind section of the 12th Gifu International Music Festival Competition for high school students, Gifu Prefecture Board of Education Prize.
43rd All-Japan Junior Classical Music Competition, woodwind instrument section, high school division, 2nd prize, Final Excellence Award.
25th Japan Junior Wind and Percussion Competition, 1st prize.
1st Prize, 8th K Woodwind Instrument Competition.
Participated in the 42nd Kusatsu Summer International Music Academy & Festival as a Toyama Cemetery Scholarship student and performed in the Student Concert. Awarded the Akira Nishimura Music Director Prize.
Studied under Thomas Indermühle.
Has studied under Hajime Ikeda, Fumiaki Miyamoto and Shinnosuke Soeda.
