Samuel Lee (violin), 13, is from Lexington, Massachusetts. He began playing the violin at the age of 4 under the guidance of Juhee Lee. He is a member of the Boston Philharmonic Youth Orchestra and the NEC Youth Philharmonic Orchestra, where they’ve toured across the US and Mediterranean Europe. Additionally, he was the associate concertmaster of the MMEA Northeastern Junior Districts. He won multiple awards in national competitions, including the top prize winner for 2 years in the State and Division String Competition of the Music Teachers National Association, Bay State String Competition (2023 and 2024), and the Sejong Music Competition. Outside of music, Samuel primarily enjoys science, mathematics, and reading as part of his school’s Science Olympiad and Science Bowl Team. During his free time, he enjoys spending time online with friends, playing tennis, and volunteering at local churches and senior centers across MA and RI to share the joy of music to others.
