Marta Szymańska – pianist, conductor and tutor of Opera Nova in Bydgoszcz.

As of 2017, she is a graduate of Prof. Wieslawa Skrzypek-Ronowska’s piano class at the Feliks Nowowiejski Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz. In 2021, she also received a master’s degree in the specialty of symphonic and opera conducting from the conducting class of Dr. José Maria Florêncio at the Ignacy Jan Paderewski Academy of Music in Poznań. During her studies, she took lessons and participated in master classes given by many leading professors such as: Chifuru Matsubara (Tokyo), Olga Burova (Moscow), Philip Lawson (UK), Pavel Kotla (London), Lena Lisa Wűstendőrfer (University of Bern), Werner Pfaff (Germany),
Marcin Sompoliński (AM Poznan), Warcislaw Kunc (AM Poznan), Jacek Miroslaw
Blaszczyk (AM Katowice).

She has worked with several orchestras including, among others: Symphony Orchestra of the National Philharmonic in Warsaw, Orchestra Symphonic Orchestra of the Podlasie Philharmonic in Białystok, Symphonic Orchestra of the Lower Silesian Philharmonic in Jelenia Góra, Płock Symphony Orchestra, Symphony Orchestra of the Grand Theater in Poznań, Soloists, Orchestra and Choir of Opera Nova in Bydgoszcz and Capella Bydgostiensis. Marta Szymańska is also an assistant conductor at Opera Nova for the production of Charles Gounod’s Faust.

At the same Opera House she worked also as a conductor for performances including: Stanislaw Moniuszko’s Halka, Sunset Boulevard by Andrew Lloyd Webber and New Year’s Eve Concerts. She is also musical director of Camille Saint-Saëns’ Carnival of the Animals performance. In September 2023 she won the Italian Conducting Competition “Alceo Galliera” in Bordighera, Italy.
