Leonie Lugbauer was born in Lower Austria in 2012. She started playing the piano and accordion at  the age of 4 with her mother. Since the age of 5, she has been taking lessons at the Alpenvorland  music school with Mrs. Salzer on the piano and Liudmila Lugbauer on the accordion.  At the age of 7 she discovered her passion for the saxophone and started with saxophone lessons at  the Alpenvorland music school with Mr. Punz.  

From 2022 she attended the „Hochbegabten“ saxophone course with Prof. Barbara Strack-Hanisch  and Martina Stückler at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna (mdw). Despite her young age, she already has numerous concert and competition experiences and has won  several awards such as Prima la musica (Austria), World best musicians competiton, Classical Stars  international music competition, etc.  

Since 2023 she is also studying piano with Prof. Kreuzberger at the University of Music and  Performing Arts in Vienna. In addition to her solo activities, she is also member of the following  ensembles: Karussell, Aquarell and Alpenvorland saxophone quartet to share her passion for music  with the audience.
