Camille Chu is a passionate young harpist. In addition to being the
harpist for the San Francisco Symphony Youth Orchestra, Camille has
studied at Tanglewood’s Young Artists Harp Program (performing with the
Young Artists Orchestra and Young Artists Wind Ensemble), the San
Francisco Conservatory of Music Pre-College (as a soloist and harp
ensemble member), Golden State Youth Orchestra Senior Symphony
(principal harpist, touring internationally), and the Stanford Summer
Symphony (with Maestro Paul Phillips). Camille’s playing has been
recognized by the United States International Music Competition (first
place), American Protégé International Romantic Music Competition (first
place), Yvonne LaMothe Schwager Competition (top place co-recipient),
International Youth Music Competition’s Classical Competition (first
place) and USA World Music Competition (second place), Great Composers’
Rising Talents American International Music Competition, and North
California Young Talents Music Competition. Throughout her musical
journey, Camille has performed in masterclasses with acclaimed harpists
Yolanda Kondonassis and Jessica Zhao and is Chapter Ambassador for the
American Harp Society.
